What is being compared?
A format is a way a product is presented. A formula is its particular composition. An intended use tells you where and how the product should be applied. A sensory description expresses an experience. These can overlap, but one cannot answer every question on behalf of the others.
That is why the Studio does not turn “solid,” “natural,” a plant name or a scent note into a universal quality score. Its comparisons first establish the intended job, then describe useful differences with the evidence available. Where products have separate jobs, the conclusion may be that they belong in the same routine.
Each source has a job
A source should keep its own job

- Product declaration
A product declaration establishes published identity, composition and directions within its completeness.
- Owning guidance
Owning guidance supports a scoped principle; it does not measure BK performance.
- Personal observation
A personal observation describes a particular intended-use experience and setting.
Four kinds of evidence
Give each source the job it can do
- Product declaration
- Establishes published identity, ingredients and directions within the source’s completeness.
- Primary or official guidance
- Supports scoped principles and care guidance; does not measure BK performance.
- Everyday example
- An original editorial scenario showing how a decision can be approached.
- Your observation
- A personal account of an intended use at a particular time and setting.
A source map, not a ranking. One kind of information cannot silently replace another.
Current public BK product information was read on 14 October 2026. The native product descriptions and translations are preserved. Where a public paragraph and its listed declaration disagree, the relevant comparison explains that boundary rather than constructing a new formula from a guess.
Scientific and care guidance is linked with its scope. A US regulatory explanation is identified as such; it does not establish European legal compliance. A general discussion of soap, fragrance or moisture does not prove a finished BK product’s pH, mildness, safety for a specific individual, longevity or clinical effect.
Where the conclusion ends
Keep the boundary of the conclusion visible

- What it establishes
State what the available source actually establishes.
- What remains unknown
Leave unmeasured performance or an unknown declaration explicit.
- What would test the claim
A claim that needs a test cannot be settled by a descriptive illustration.
Numbers need a denominator
A mini and a larger tin can be compared using confirmed quantities. A cost-per-use example needs a dated price and a defensible use count. A packaging comparison needs a defined boundary. If those inputs are unknown, the Studio offers a method or a clearly identified qualitative comparison.
No comparative BK wear trial, wash-yield test, finished-product pH measurement or lifecycle study was conducted for this edition. No product receives an invented performance score. Fragrance landscapes describe published impressions, and the diagrams teach roles and choices rather than measured concentrations.
Keep the label and source beside the claim

Illustrations and original photographs
Every page has one featured artwork and three supporting visual explanations, with readable text beside the illustrations. These scenes explain choices and routines; they do not report measured product results. Where a BK solid cosmetic appears, the artwork uses our product references, including cloud-shaped bars and small, shallow solid-perfume tins. Current solid-perfume sizes are 5 g and 15 g. Original figure notes remain available as expandable reading notes.
Named-product galleries use original public BK photograph bytes, kept as source files. Local display copies are resized without cropping or changing the product. Product photographs can retain older packaging details, so the current product declaration controls a size discussion.
A reading path, not a forced purchase
Each comparison connects to specific explanations in the existing libraries and to further comparison questions. A product link belongs where seeing the actual declaration helps. The Studio can also leave you with a familiar routine, two complementary products or a better observation to make next time.
