Staff only
BEBRU / INTERNAL NOTE 01 The secret staff entrance

Solid cosmetics upstairs. Solid opinions downstairs. Compliments through here; complaints require a biscuit.

SOLID MATTER
Bureau correspondence
Bureau correspondence

Please stop putting solid perfume on expense reports under “office atmosphere”.

The shampoo bar is not a biscuit. A second memo should not have been necessary.

All bars must be left to dry. Staff may remain damp and mildly disappointed.

Enter the back office
B / 01

The Bureau of Unnecessary Business

A very unofficial office. Nothing leaves this room. Not even the staff, apparently.

The staff are away. The cupboard and correspondence are still open.

Assistance is brewing. So is the tea.

Reception

0 rings

Please ring once. It gives us something to discuss.

Your ring has been acknowledged. Acknowledgement is not assistance. The receptionist is examining a shampoo bar. It has declined to comment. You are first in the queue. The queue is on its tea break. The bell works. We shall put that in the annual report.

Emergency biscuit meeting convened. Attendance: you. Catering: regrettably theoretical.

01 / Compliments registry+

A compliment in writing. The beaver is blushing.

What would you like to compliment?

Compliments are accepted with considerable embarrassment.

Filed under “lovely smell”. The solid perfume has been told. It remains composed.Filed under “fewer bottles”. The cupboard has requested a larger office.Filed under “professional conduct”. The beaver has asked for this in writing.
02 / Cupboard of questionable evidence+

All exhibits innocent until proven biscuit.

The biscuit tin+

Empty. The lid smells suspiciously of lavender. Nobody is available for questioning.

The shampoo bar+

Solid shampoo. Definitely not a biscuit. This finding has disappointed the tea committee.

The visiting consultant+

One duck. No qualifications. Has invoiced us for “strategic floating”.

The duck recommends keeping the bar dry. We hate to admit he has a point. The duck has suggested a larger pond. Relevance to solid perfume: under review. The duck has left for lunch. The invoice has stayed.
03 / Bar leave office+

Our most productive employee is drying.

Staff leave is complicated. Bar leave is mostly a soap dish.

DRYING LEAVE GRANTED. Accommodation: a well-drained soap dish. No conference calls.POCKET VISIT GRANTED. Solid perfume only. The pocket has not been consulted.INACTIVITY APPROVED. The bar will continue being solid. A demanding brief.
04 / After-hours department+

Do switch off the light. The beaver cannot reach.

On duty. The bars are drying; the staff are making it look administrative.

On duty. The bars are drying; the staff are making it look administrative.Office closed. The bars are still drying. Frankly, they carry the place.

All of this is very unofficial. Please do not bring a shampoo bar to a biscuit meeting.
